Government Girls Higher Secondary School Zadibal began its journey in 1957 when the school's foundation stone was laid by the then Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister, Mr. Bakshi Ghulam Mohammad on 27th September, 1957, as a modest Middle School to serve as the platform for young girls to access education.

Over the decades, the school has grown steadily and continued its noble mission of extending education to young girls in Zadibal, Nowshehra, Hawal, Lal Bazar and the surrounding areas. With strong focus on discipline and academic quality, the institution has established an exceptional reputation in the community.

👗 School Uniform

👧 GIRLS: White Frock, White Shalwar, Black Shoes with Black Socks, Black Abaya (optional), Black Sweater or Blazer with Gold Stripes, School Branded Gold Belt, Striped Gold Tie.

⚠️ Note: All students must wear the complete prescribed uniform on all working days.

🚫 Prohibitions and Bans

  • Ragging is strictly prohibited
  • Use of alcohol, tobacco and its products is banned
  • Mobile phones are prohibited in classrooms and labs
  • Entry through main gate only with valid ID card
  • Prescribed uniform is mandatory

With strong focus on discipline and academic quality, the institution has established and earned an exceptional reputation in the community and among the people it serves.

With the passage of time and in recognition of its efforts and contribution to society, the school was elevated to the status of a Higher Secondary School in 2004, thus widening its scope and enabling it to prepare students for higher education and professional careers.

With sincere work and dedication of the staff and management, the school has earned a reputable status among the locals.
